How a booking redesign grew Leid's revenue by 70% in six months
Leid AS is a Norwegian equipment and trailer rental platform based in Halden. When I joined as Lead Product Engineer, the platform was functional — but losing users at every step of the booking journey.

The Problem
Leid had a solid product — real inventory, real customers, real demand in the Norwegian market. But the booking experience had accumulated friction at every touchpoint. Users were dropping off before completing rentals, the flow was confusing on mobile, and the platform wasn't converting the traffic it was already getting.
The problem wasn't awareness. It was conversion.
What I did
Redesigned the entire booking experience — mapped the full user journey from landing to confirmation, identified where users were dropping off, and rebuilt the flow to reduce steps and clarify decisions at every point.
Built a dedicated trailer rental platform — designed and developed a focused product for trailer rentals that simplified the customer-facing experience and improved internal operational workflows simultaneously.
Improved frontend performance and reliability — optimised load times and stability across devices, with particular focus on mobile where the majority of rental intent traffic was arriving.
Worked directly with founders — no middle layer. Sat in on business discussions, translated commercial priorities into product decisions, and shipped fast by staying close to the people who knew the business.
Result
"Revenue grew 70% within six months — directly tied to the redesigned booking experience and the reduction in rental flow friction."
The platform went from a tool that worked to a product that converted. The improvements compounded — less friction meant more completed bookings, which meant more revenue, which gave the founders confidence to invest further in the platform.
